I am not able to attend the upcoming Trustee meeting. Can I give my proxy to another owner / Trustee to attend on my behalf?
The first question is – Who are you? – Are you a Trustee or an owner?
If you are a Trustee then the answer is No:
There is no provision in the STSM Act for a Trustee to be able to give their proxy to another person for a Trustee meeting.
If you are an owner then the answer is also No, but with a solution:
What you can do is give someone power of attorney to deal with all matters on behalf of your unit – including attending Trustee meetings on your behalf – as any owner has the right to attend a Trustee meeting.
