Unidentified Vehicles on Common Property: What Are Our Options?

We have many unidentified vehicles parked on the common property. Can we have them towed away?

The short answer is no.

Please remember that you can allow for wheel-clamping in your Conduct Rules, but not the towing of a vehicle when parked illegally in your BC, as this is undesirable in terms of the CSOS Practice Directive.

Quote from the STSM Act: Prescribed Conduct Rule 3

(2) The trustees may cause to be removed or towed away, at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle, any vehicle parked, standing or abandoned on the common property without the trustees’ consent.

This was removed when the STSM came into effect.
